Key XXI The World
“I want you to enjoy freedom from fears and falsehood….”
Spiritual Tarot: Seventy-Eight Paths to Personal Development by Signe E. Echols, M.S., Robert Mueller, Ph.D., and Sandra A. Thomson
We’ve come to the end of the Major Arcana. This journey is complete, and now the journey begins again. Sometimes we travel by putting one foot in front of the other and moving from one place to another; sometimes we are limited by fences and borders. The World card reminds us that we can always dance within the boundaries of our world.
The entry for this card in Spiritual Tarot contains so many helpful and relevant insights that I want to share them all, but I’d surely be violating copyright. My best attempt at summarizing is this: our world is one of many, contained within its own sphere of energy. The dancer reminds us that it is always possible to move with grace and light, even in a small space. Having come to the end of the Fool’s journey, we’ve gained so many skills along the way that we are well prepared to express our choreography. “…we now know how to act within the appropriate structure.”
Some Things to Ponder
How will you use your energies to expand the world?
What dance will you share with the world?
How will you honor the spirit of joy and freedom this card represents?
With those questions in mind, I’ve decided to dance to a different tune. Over the decades, I’ve written novels, poetry, short fiction, and CNF. Lately I’ve found great pleasure in writing tidbits—bite-sized fiction and non-fiction that I call micro-scenes. There’s one in my last b.read.crumbs post:
A Small Town Witch Teaches the Fine Art of Sorcery
Meanwhile there’s a novel I’ve had in mind for years. Years! It’s about the witches in a small town, and it has gone through several versions, several POVs, several settings, several protagonists. Now I think I might tell it in micro-scenes.
Is that possible? Will I finish it? Will anyone want to read about the witches of Mero? Will I throw in micro-scenes about witches in other places? So many unknowns!
Rather than worry about any of that, rather than fuss with traditional publishing methods, I’ve decided to share the stories of small town witches as well as the story of Mero in a newsletter. Anyone who wants to follow along is welcome to subscribe (FREE!) to A Small Town Witch.
